New Release (5.22c) for the GoFiler Family of Products

Version 5.22c of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains improvements and corrections to Form N-PX as well as some corrections for EDGAR Submission View and an update to the N-PORT forms. Additionally, support for the XML version of Form N-CR has been added to the software. See the release notes for more information.

SEC Issues 2024 XBRL Taxonomies Update

On March 18, 2024, the SEC upgraded the EDGAR system to Release 24.1. The system now supports the 2024 XBRL reporting taxonomies. The SEC does not anticipate the removal of the 2022 versions of any taxonomies to occur before June 2024. Continue reading "SEC Issues 2024 XBRL Taxonomies Update" »

New Release (5.22a) for the GoFiler Family of Products

Version 5.22a of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release corresponds to EDGAR 24.1 and contains support for the 2024 taxonomies, including the SRO taxonomy. Additionally, support for Forms 17AD-27 and 17AD-27/A as well as the SEC “redact” property has been added. See the release notes for more information.

Issue Filing Large XBRL Reports to the EDGAR System

Some time over the weekend of January 27th, EDGAR XBRL filers began experiencing an issue when submitting large XBRL filings to the EDGAR system. This issue concerns a change that was made in Arelle. Specifically, when an XBRL report is run through Arelle with too many possible dimensional combinations on a single report, Arelle now produces an error and the EDGAR System rejects the filing. New Release (5.20c) for the GoFiler Family of Products

Version 5.20c of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains support for the new Filing Fee Disclosure (FFD) and Fund (FND) Taxonomies, as well as autotagging for the FFD filing fee calculation table. New Release (5.20b) for the GoFiler Family of Products

Version 5.20b of all applications in the GoFiler Suite has been released. This release contains support for the new EDGAR Next Beta system. Features to use the EDGAR Next Beta system are early in development with additional tools to handle delegation and user management forthcoming. This version of the software allows users to set up filing credentials and begin to use the EDGAR Next Beta. SEC Publishes Current Draft for EDGAR Filer Manual for Comment

The SEC has released its draft of the EDGAR® Filer Manual, Volume II: “EDGAR Filing” (Version 67) to allow filer feedback and to help filers prepare for potential updates to the EDGAR system which is detailed in the draft and scheduled to be implemented in EDGAR Release 23.3 on September 18, 2023. EDGAR Release 23.2.1

On July 17, 2023, the SEC announced that it updated SEC.gov stylesheets for Forms 4 and 5, which will be implemented with EDGAR Release 23.2.1. More specifically, the checkbox introduced in Release 23.1—to allow filers to determine whether the reported transaction was subject to a contract, instruction or written plan intended to meet the conditions of Rule 10b5-1(c)—has been moved from above Table 1 to the upper left corner of the stylesheet.
